Ha ha. Love this. That would never happen at my sister's what with the one dog that's super spastic. :-)

I am home often enough and would be able to meet with them if actually necessary. But their default assumption is that I'm doing something wrong inside that's causing the problem and that has never been the case. So, I'm extremely unwilling to take time to meet with a tech unless they can prove the problem is with my setup. So far I'm batting 1.000. :-)

Drives me nuts. Our electric company had an extremely unfriendly mobile site which they've finally updated in the last 3 or 4 months. I complained very forcefully the last two times I had power outages about how useless the mobile experience was and how ridiculous that situation is because chances you can access the non-mobile site during a power outage seem pretty slim. Ugh.

Every time I deal with my cable company and they can't solve the problem, they want to send a tech to my house. I'm never home so I decline, saying I'll be in touch if it doesn't get better. Every single time, it gets better within the next 24 hours because some other resident has complained and been home when the tech came by only to discover it was not a problem inside but a problem at the pole (or whatever). I don't think I've had a cable tech in my house in 20 years. So aggravating.
