@peemee Sigh. It did not fix the problem with my mom's old iPad. The update/reformat still fails with an error that supposedly only happens when people try to use Windows to update the iPad and their drivers have not been updated. Alas, I'm using a Mac. I think there's been a hardware failure on the iPad. I don't think it's worth taking into the Apple store for a diagnosis.

@hazardwarning I had headaches on Monday and Tuesday but all better yesterday and today. I hope you're feeling better as well.
@peemee My mother tried to give me her old iPad 2 and it seems to have some sort of a hardware issue that had not presented itself until I tried to to a fresh install. I will try this latest update to see if it will take but I suspect it will not. So sad.
@matigo Have you heard of https://getrocketbook.com/ ? I bought a couple and rather like the one I kept. I gave the other to a friend and she says she also likes it.
@larand I actually have very few memories of anything before I turned 8 or so. It’s kinda weird.
@hazardwarning I was just over 6 when the moon landing happened and we watched it but I don't remember it at all. Weird.
