@jussipekonen Glad you got it worked out. I can't believe how much time I wasted trying to troubleshoot my problems when it was just lint—so I always have to warn people to check that out!

Again, though, Mom doesn't need the aggravation. :-/ Hopefully, CHiP/Veto will be a good compromise. He will (hopefully) need a lot less attention. And, he can always be turned off if needed!

@jussipekonen Make sure there's no pocket fuzz in the earphone jack. I was having horrible problems with my phone a year or two ago and was at my wits end. I finally went at all the ports with a toothpick (very carefully!) and could not believe the amount of fuzz I pulled out. Everything was working good as new as soon as I did that.

@jws Woot. I still haven't had enough time at home to upgrade. If you ship this, I might just keep putting it off. I don't think I went to 9 until a month before 10 was released. Can I do the same with 10???? :-)
